Trust you?

This was taken during Annabelle's first week with me.

You can see the lack of trust.

She was hiding.

I don't think she was well treated where she 

was before I adopted her.

It's telling that she was an owner surrender to

a high kill shelter.

In fact, if the rescue group had not been there

that morning, because she was considered

an adult, they would have euthanized her

that day.

It makes me shudder to think

that could have been her fate, and the fate of 

her juvenile kitten.

If only I could have gotten both of you Annabelle.

It is a sadness I have for you.

But your kitten was adopted before you,

it only happened a few days before I adopted you.

I would have adopted you both.
It's strange to have a regret
that you had no control over, but I do.
Annabelle is such a little Momma cat.
