sunCATcher

I love the play of light against Abby and the way it captures her shadow.
My tuxedo suncatcher in my kitchen window overlooking the garden.
Almost a contrast in black and white.
Cats love being sunCATchers.

Kitty Wishes for EdselsMom

Edsel's Mom is going through a very scary and trying time. I was trying to think of something that might help and I wondered if we all sent a get well card to let her know she is being thought of that it might make her feel better. What do you think? If anyone has her address please email me because I would really like to send her my wishes.

PETS H.R.3858

Ok poodins gather round… Abby is making an urgent plea. For those subject to the possibilities of evacuations because of impending disasters this legislation would ease the burden of worry of pet owners.
~~~
On Thursday September 22, 2005 Tom Lantos (D-CA) and Christopher Shays (R-CT) introduced into Congress legislation on the bill, called the Pet Evacuation and Transportation Standards (PETS) Act.
Yesterday the House approved the measure 349 – 24, the bill will now travel to the Senate for approval.
Abby urges you to make your voice heard and help support making certain that this bill will pass the Senate. Chey I know that you would stand behind this if you were President. We cannot stand idle and let another tragedy like Katrina happen again. Here is a link to the HSUS website that will allow you to send your legislator your support on this issue if you choose.
This is the story on CNN that details the passage of PETSact,H.R.3858.
Thanks for helping!
Efurryone please say a purrayer for Edsel’s Mom. She needs our healing support.
Abby's Apology
Momma I didn't mean to climb up your leg like it was a mountain hill and hurt you. But, you had Boo in your arms and it was suppose to be me. I couldn't help myself. You know how I am. I is so sorry that I hurt you, because you are the last bean I would ever hurt. Please forgive me Momma.
What's This?
Boo watches.
She tries to paw the stream of water to play with it. She is fascinated with the sink. She loves to get into the bowl and rub her cheeks against the faucet. This was her first time playing in the water.
Hey Handsome!
Hello efurrybody...I'm Johnny Cash.....
Well I could be...I can sing "Walk the Line" just as well!
Yes, Ping we know you could.
~~~
Yesterday when I got home I found blood splatter all over the hallway. My husband had called me at work in the morning to ask if I had spilled anything, he did not notice it was blood droplets. He cleaned up what he found. But, when I walked down the hall I found 50 or more droplets. I immediately went to check each of the cats. I immediately thought one of them had injured another, but upon inspecting each one of them I could find no open wounds or any dried blood on paws or mouths. I even checked their bottoms and that all seemed fine as well. I don't know what to make of it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Abba Dabba

I guess you could say I spoil this girl. She has 'trained me' to only eat off a spoon. She won't eat for her Daddy when I am not there, she'll wait until I come home to feed her -- off of her spoon. She isn't a finicky eater, in fact none of our kitties are. They all enjoy their meals. When I normally feed them, Abby is first and foremost into everything that I am doing while I am preparing food for everyone, in fact she wants a taste of each of the cans or pouch I am opening. This morning as I was putting food down for Boo, she stuck her nose in Boo's plate and Boo just sat there and looked at her with a how rude look on her face. I opened another can and Abby became more interested in that so Boo was able to eat. She is so patient with Abby. So I juggled getting the other plates ready and finally got Abby's spoon and everyone had breakfast!

Check It Out

Jinx & Ping trying out the new runner.
Abby joins the group.
Abby decides Gracie (who you can't see) has to stay in the powder room.

Anything new that comes into the house has to win cat approval. Do your kitties do a cat check too?

Here's Looking At You Kid

When we adopted Abby that was her name. I felt that since she had that name and knew it I wouldn't change it, so she has remained Abby. I call her by many other names as well, affectionate ones like Little Muffins & Abba Dabba but mainly it's simply Abby. When Boo, Jinx and Ping joined our family we didn't know what their names were so we had to named them. Since Boo is mostly black and it was near Halloween, I called her Boo. I have always like the named Jinx and I don't really know how I came up with Ping, other than it was truly the perfect fit for him because he does ping! How he pings! My husband named the tortie girl that came to visit us for a short months, Button. We both loved the name Gracie and decided if we ever got another girl kitty that would be her name. So when another tabby graced our lives she was so named. I also like the name Daisy, but that sounds more like a horse than a cat!

~~~~
So how did your kitties get their names?
