Google Friend Connect Is Slowing Replacing Blogger Following, On Blogger Blogs
How do I Follow the blog I'm interested in? I only see Google Friend Connect on the blogs that interest me.Apparently, the Blogger Following feature is becoming more tightly connected to Google Friend Connect, possibly as part of the coming rebranding of Blogger, as Google Blogs.
The main change, for those of you who are not yet Following this blog (for instance) is that you now see a white on blue button labeled
Join this siteThe new button replaces the "Follow Me" button previously labeled
Follow
We'll see, soon, if this involves any functionality changes.
Hmmmmmmm, new and improved?!?!
ReplyDeleteWhat's ever they do, I just hope we are not going to lose something in our blog. Just because they want to rebranding !
ReplyDeleteI really don't see a problem with it. Instead of "follow" it just says "join this site"...it was always affiliated with Google Friend Connect unless I understood incorrectly. Think positive!
ReplyDeleteYou know, our Mumsy has gotten so frustrated with that Follow thing. Half the time it never shows up on our Kwee Cat blogginer. And it never shows up on her Kwee Life blogginer! It's kinda one of them sore, I can't figure it out, points with her now. Maybe this will make it better, who knows??!!?!
ReplyDeleteMy Human is pretty stupid and she never really tried to "follow" people much--she just bookmarked sites and visited them. Sigh. But she just did the "join this site" thing and it seemed pretty easy. So, we'll see. The one weird thing is we see my picture on your list but we ALSO see my picture ABOVE your list and it says options and we don't want to choose any options since we don't really understnad them and oh well.
ReplyDeleteOh my stars!!! I'm scared with all these unnecessary changes! I mean really, Google!!
ReplyDelete:-(
Thanks for the info!! I'll probably return here screaming "help me!!!!" when things go horribly wrong! :-) Take care x
Lots of changes Google is making. When we started following,Mom chose the wrong widget .Now we see our updated blogs on the dashboard instead of our blog page ;) That's OK though. As long as we don't have to do anything,Google can do as they wish ;)
