UPDATE:
Gracie had a terrible reaction to the new appetite stimulant last night. It just seems like when things go wrong, they really go wrong. I felt so helpless. Even after asking two Vets and researching the effects of the medication and feeling that the chances were high this would help, it seemed last night to do just the opposite. But this morning, not that I can attest to rosy circumstances, I will say Gracie came into the kitchen acting like she wanted breakfast. She tried to eat the normal wet food that is a treat for her but she could only take 2 bites. I got out the baby food and she licked a few bites off of my fingertips. Then I offered her the food I am feeding Annabelle and she actually hate about 15 bites! WOW that is more food at one time that's she's had since Monday night. I cannot get excited because I've been down this road before and in the not too distant past. I will just be happy she ate, and will try and get her more food in an hour or so. Please continue keeping her in your prayers.
Love the quote, I really believe that too. Sending all our love and prayers to Gracie and to you.

ReplyDeleteI am keeping you both in my prayers and sending warm hugs. Gracie please eat and feel better darling girl.
ReplyDeleteSending love for Gracie. Did your veterinarian also prescribe an antacid or anti-reflux medication like Pepcid or Sucralfate to coat her stomach and esophagus? Often I find if they want to eat but don't, it's from reflux and easing that will eliminate the discomfort. Hope she improves for you.
ReplyDeleteWe have got lovely Gracie in our purrs and prayers. We will be pleased to light a candle for her as well. Hope you can get her to eat more. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
