Finally Friday: Momma's Heavy Heart

Abby:
Momma has been feeding a group of feral cats. They have settled into a nice area in between where Momma buys her food stuffs and a Vet office. There is a colony of about a dozen who are well fed and tended to by a gaggle of beans. Just a few weeks ago Momma noticed that one of the female tortie Manxies was pregnant. Then two weeks ago just by happenstance Momma came across her four little kittens. They were all plump and cute and just adorable. Momma got pictures of them with her cell phone, and if she can figure out how to get them off of her phone she will post them. But all of the cuties were Manxies. One was a tuxie Manxie. Momma picked this little baby up and was contemplating bringing him/her home. She really wanted to but she was afraid that the kitten was too young to be away from it's true Mama. She held onto to him/her for nearly an hour before she decided that it was best for him or her to stay with his/her siblings and Mama. When she stopped by last week, she found no evidence of the babies, and feels that Mama tucked them safely away. She always knew that in all likelyhood she would never have another chance at that little tuxedo manx and she has mixed feelings in her heart. She hopes she did the right thing. I just don't see how she could have brought one more kitty into the our tribe, can you imagine 6 of us?

Ok I've checked it all out, everything is A-OK!

We just wanted to let everyone know that yesterday Abby wasn't scratching the chair, she was leaning up against it. I think she was considering climbing up to get to the top of it but she didn't even try to do that. She doesn't misbehave, not like some *amen* (PING) kitties. Yesterday he got up on top of the bookcase in the den and climbed up on top of the drapery next to the ceiling, I think he was trying to pull a Miles trick by walkin on the ceiling. He bent the drapery rod.

We were all touched by Petey, he braved a long battle against lymphoma and went peacefully and gracefully to join all those who came before...please remember him and his family in your prayers and give a kitty hug to his Mom.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that are happy.

WE hope that efurryone is safe from the storms that passed from Texas this past week through the Southeast (our area was hit with bad thunderstorms and tornadoes) and then up into the Northeast this weekend. We prayed that all of you affected by the wintery mess were OK, and were safe and warm in your homes.

In the entry area to our subdivision there is a sign that says MISSING CAT, a gray tabby with white paws is missing from his/her home. We put our paws together and hope that this lost little one finds his/her way home to his worried family.

Finally Friday: Starring Gracie

Our little Gracie who is tiny sweet girl who has the biggest heart (and feet)....boy does she sound like a herd of wild buffalos when she tromps through the house.

Thursday Tattles

Boo was sitting on the kitchen counter when I reached around her to turn on the under the cabinet lightening and I accidentally hit the garbage disposal switch. She jumped straight up backwards into my right leg where she nailed me with her claws. I cried out and Abby came to what she thought was the rescue. Before poor Boo could hit the floor Abby had nabbed her and off Boo blew. Not only was she scared from the noise of the disposal she also got 'slapped' by Abby.
