Update on Dad
Our Dad is having a difficult time recovering from his shoulder surgery which was done last Thursday. Friday Mom had to take him back to the Hospital because of a malfunction of the catheter he has that is delivering continuous pain medication was not working properly. Even after that was corrected he is still experiencing pain but it is better, not a 10 over 10 like it was. We are purring over him and appreciate all the kindness and concerns you have shown. This has been a rough one.
Hoping for a better tomorrow.

Today is another special day. It's Grandpa's purrday. It's a good one. Grandpa turns 85 today. We are all so glad Grandpa is still celebrating with us. He has his challenges which he always rises to. Grandpa is a very good Grandpa and we all love him deeply. So join us in our quiet celebration of Grandpa's 85th celebration day!!

EZ December Sunday

It's December!
Wow!
How did that happen?? How does time pass so slowly yet so quickly too? For most, this month will be filled with lots of hustling and bustling and merriment. For others who are without loved ones it will be a time of mixed emotions. I always try to keep in mind amid all the excitement of the Holidays (whichever ones you celebrate) there is an element of sadness too. I know one cannot dwell in sorrow but it is something we each deal with in our own way. This December will be very bittersweet as I look back over the previous 8 with my Abby and this year being the first without her. I don't have the joyfulness in my heart this year without her. All of the firsts are hard.

Doing a bit of venting. I have to say it's been with a bit of a surprise that we were contacted by a company to do a product review. It was something we viewed as an honored and we've only had a handful of opportunities. Well apparently we didn't do it "right". C***Y.com( formerly MRC***Y) we've been told was not happy with the way we 'reviewed' their product or their website. I guess we didn't highlight the company strongly enough and oops we said the name wrong too. Yes MOUSES we did. Well, we are not really into doing product reviews or giveaways or any of that. We are small fries in a big Mac world. So, we told C***Y.com to take their future products elsewhere. It made us feel bad when that is not ever our purpose here. We won't ever be doing business with C***Y.com again. There are too many other places if I need to order online from.

Boo has taken up residence in  the chair that Abby used on the back screened in porch. The left picture of Abby was taken only a few days before she fell ill. You can see I have not moved the throw or pillow, there is still a sameness to the setting which I have not been able to change. I still find I am unable to go out on the back porch like I have in the past. I used to enjoy being out there with the cats even on warm days. But it is where I found Abby in the midst of a CHF attack on July 28th,and there are still has too many memories I cannot face. The first time I caught a glimpse of Boo in this chair all I could see out the door was a black back and for just that one second I thought "Abby", or course you know it wasn't and I knew instantly it was Boo. That was many weeks ago, and since I have grown accustomed to seeing Boo curled up in the same sun filled chair that Abby so loved, especially in these last few warm months. So, I'm glad Boo is able to enjoy the same sun drenched warmth that Abby once did.I am glad that another Tuxedo kitty is filling that spot,even as I miss my Abby girl, time marches forward. I notice now a crispness in the night breeze, even here in Florida and soon Fall will make it's way to Winter. Placing more distance between. Time does soften a loss, but it will always live within you. There will always be a longing....for what once was and cannot ever be again.
